The Kramer VP-728 and VP-729 are 9-input scaler/switchers that set new quality and performance benchmarks in the Kramer line up of ProScale scalers and scaler/switchers by including IDT HQV video processing.




The VP-728 and VP-729 provide high quality scaling and ease-of-use for large audience projection in conference room, auditoriums and production studios, where high quality conversion and switching of multiple different video signals to graphical data signals for projection is necessary. The VP-728 is HDTV and HDCP compatible offering 720p, 1080i and 1080p HDTV output resolutions. The unit also has a new and improved user friendly menu interface and can be controlled via front panel buttons, IR remote control or via RS-232 commands. The VP-729 also features Ethernet control capability. The devices offer multiple aspect ratio support, a built-in time base corrector, a built-in Proc Amp, front panel lockout, video blanking (blue or black screen selectable) and a worldwide power supply.

The Mitsubishi HC7000 projector doubles the frame rate of 24 frame-per-second (fps) content to 48 fps. Reon-VX HQV processes detailed high-definition projector images with 1080i-to-1080p projector de-interlacing.

Precision® HQV processing also restores color lost in compression, dynamically adjusts output based on your source (satellite, video or data) and includes multidirectional diagonal filtering to smooth jagged edges. Also included is full 10-bit video processing and 3D I/P conversion.

Toshiba's RD-X7 utilizes HQV video processing to provide stunning video upconversion as well as detail enhancement and noise reduction.

The RD-X7 comes equipped with a ground/digital tuners for recording of TV broadcasts, offers a 1 TB hard disk storage capacity, while it can also record content on DVD-R/RW/RAM and DVD-R DL media.

The device is also capable of burning high-definition broadcasted video in DVD media. This means that two hours of MPEG4 AVC/H.264 video (4Mbps) will be recorded on a DVD disc.

The RD-X7 is scheduled for release in Japan during June 2008.

NEC has selected HQV to power their latest entry in the VT Series. The new VT800 is a digital network-ready projector ideal for education and corporate settings.

HQV processing enables such unique features as Advanced Accublend, which delivers detailed images when using non-native resolution sources and 3D Reform automatic keystone correction. This ensures that no matter what angle the projector is set up in relation to the screen, vertical distortions are instantly corrected.

Vizio's upcoming premium line of plasma HDTVs will feature HQV video processing.

Due to greater light output, these 1080P Plasma HDTVs, boast a high contrast ratio of 30,000:1. It also takes deep color avail through the HDMI 1.3 connection (4 HDMI inputs) and processes it at 10 bits.

The 50- and 60-inch models will be available in June 2008, with an estimated MSRP of $1699 and $2899, respectively.

The new line of NEC NP Installation Series high-performance projectors includes HQV video processing, which provides image noise reduction and image-processing scaling technology superior to that of conventional projector models. HQV technology produces superior video processing using pixel-based, motion-adaptive de-interlacing to remove undesirable motion artifacts typical of interlaced signals. This processing creates life-like images in applications such as video conferencing.
